Pensavo di leggere la storia di una simpatica vecchietta del Maine, che guarda indietro nel tempo e sorride della sua vita e mi trovo per le mani un personaggio talmente acido che la metà basta, una professoressa di matematica in pensione che non ha mai chiesto scusa in vita sua e il cui unico figlio farà terapia tutta la vita.
Però il libro è bello, le storie sono drammatiche ed ironiche at the same time and perhaps the moral end is the only thing a little 'tune with the whole novel, as if the author would be forgiven for ending the sadness and reflection in all tarallucci and wine.
